I'm the host ,Professor Phaedra Pezzullo and, today, our guest is José Toscano Bravo, the co-founder and co-director of the Just Transition Alliance. He was born in Mexico and the US Mexico border about 15 minutes from where he now lives in southern California. He was raised in the US, alongside his parents who worked in avocado fields. Since the 1990s, Jose has been recognized as a leader in the environmental justice movement and the movement towards a just transition.
